Girls, Giggles, Glitter and Glue Blog Hop Day 3: A Little Mixed Media Fun

Welcome to the third and final day of the Girls, Giggles, Glitter and Glue Blog Hop.  I'm glad that you have come by again today.  Please be sure to follow Peg's Crafting Corner and leave a comment on each day's projects to be entered into the giveaway.  I will pick a winner on tomorrow and post it here so keep watching!

Today I'm sharing a project that was sitting on my desk the past few days.  Another hobby of mine is painting. I have done it on and off for many years and even belonged to a painting club several years ago.  Life got busy so I had to stop going, but the artist in me never did stop.  Recently, I began to paint again after not picking up a brush for 2 years.  You can see some of my other work in my blog posts if you look through.

I was wanting to do something mixed media style this time instead of the basic acrylic work I normally do so I dug out one of my favorite stamps that I received in one of the Girls, Giggles, Glitter and Glue swaps and stamped her onto watercolor paper.  I, then, painted her using watercolor paints and added the background.  The clouds are from a white ink pad and were put on using a cosmetic wedge that I rounded with a pair of scissors.

I was really happy with the way she turned out. This was just a fun project that I did in my free time to take care of my painting urge, but I just may end up framing her and putting her on display in my craft area.  Now, I need to find another project to start next.  You never know what I may do.

Thanks for stopping by and allowing me to share my work with you!  Be sure to keep coming back and seeing what I'm up to next.  You can, also, see what I'm creating for Create for Less, Mixed Media Arts and Cut Out + Keep by using the links on the right to go to their websites, as well.  Leave me a comment here or on one of them when you can.  I'd love to hear from you!

Happy Creating Everyone!
