Altered Pages Rusted Colors Challenge

I created this little box for the challenge over at Altered Pages.  After creating the box, I used the Fall Splendor collage sheet for the focal points on the lid and the inside.  I added lace from the Dance in the Sunshine Ribbons and Trims by Glitz behind the photo to break up the the continuous green of the lid and to add a little dimension behind the photo.  I was going to run the lid through an embossing folder, but while creating the box it slipped my mind and I had already assembled it when I realized I never did that.  That's ok.  I love how it turned out anyways.  The 3 leaves were added to help soften the sharpness of the edges instead of adding a frame around the collage piece.

If you like my project and would like to help me win a prize, please head on over to the Altered Pages Challenge section of the blog (found here) and vote for my box shown on the right side of the page.

Would you like a chance to win a great prize, too?  Create your own Rusted Colors project and link it to the Rusted Colors blog post on the challenge blog for a chance to win.
