I have joined a fun group of people on a blog hop that features only Christmas. I love Christmas so I was hooked on this hop from the day I found it. This is the first time I've participated in the hop and am so excited to share my creations the 2nd and 4th Friday's of every month. Be sure to come back to my blog on those days and see what I've created next. This is my card for today and it has a humorous story behind it. I had seen the basic tree idea in a magazine and thought it would be so neat to make one. I set out and cut the paper strips and started scoring them, but kept looking at the magazine picture beside me thinking something is different. I finally picked up the magazine again and studied even more closely and realized that tree was made from pieces of material and not paper. Well, being someone who will set out to try anything I decided that since I had the papers cut and scored I was going to see if I could make a tree out of paper and this is what I ended up with. I was surprised and happy at how well it turned out. There are a couple of things I have ideas for that I'm going to change the next time that I make it, but this one turned out pretty well I think considering it originally wasn't supposed to be made from paper. I, also, added a couple of my favorite dew drops from The Robin's Nest to cover the plain center of the snowflake stamp and bring some shine to the snowflake.
I really like the way you made the tree!
