Love Cast in Clay Blog Hop

Welcome!  I am so glad you have joined the Amazing Mold Putty and Creative Paperclay teams as we enjoy sharing our creations with you.  Be sure to leave a comment on all of the blogs and become a follower of all of them in order to win a 16 oz. package of Creative PaperClay and a package of Amazing Mold Putty.

If you've been hopping from the beginning you will have arrived here from Sandra Strait's blog, but if you just joined us you will want to start at the beginning and go to the Creative Paperclay blog first.

I love to decorate and one of the things I enjoy decorating most is our  Christmas tree, but I can't have it up all year long.  I began to think about that one day and decided why not have a tree up all year long decorated for the seasons.  I found these cute little trees with the help of one of the Amazing Mold Putty team members and decided that this year we were going to have a Valentine's Day tree with lots of "Love Cast in Clay" and Amazing Clear Cast Resin.

I gathered everything I would need to mold and cast my pieces.  I even got out some old clay cutters I had and used those.  I used the Delight Air Dry Modeling Compound to create a bunch of hearts using the molds that I made and the cutters.  (The molds were made by using Amazing Mold Putty and different sized wooden hearts I found in the painting section of my local craft store.)

Once I had created all of the hearts I wanted from the Creative Paperclay I used the molds and Amazing Clear Cast to create some resin hearts.

While the clear resin hearts sat and cured, I worked on painting the Creative Paperclay hearts with red acrylic paint.  Once they were dry and the resin hearts were cured I decorated the tree. Some of the hearts I hung on the tree and others I just tucked among the branches.  When I had finished I realized I had nothing for the bottom of the tree, but that was a quick and easy fix.  I quickly rolled out some Creative Paperclay Modeling Material and let it dry flat over night.  The next evening, I  grabbed a few of my favorite stamping supplies and created this small "amore" plaque in no time.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing the tree of love that I have created and again thank you for stopping by.  Don't forget to leave a comment and become a follower here before you move on to Leslie Rahye's blog and if you have lost your way, here is the list of all of the blogs on the Love Cast in Clay Hop.
