Welcome to the Girls, Giggles, Glitter and Glue Blog Hop. I am so glad you are hopping with us this weekend. Please be sure to follow Peg's Crafting Corner and leave a comment on each day's projects to be entered into the giveaway. I will pick a winner on Monday.
I have been changing my crafting focus some the last several months. I'm doing a few scrapbooking pages on occasion but am not focusing much on them. I'm still doing a lot of cards. You never know when you will need one of those and am doing a lot more mixed media projects. I've stepped down from all of the design teams I've been on since 2007 and am only writing tutorials for Create for Less Think Crafts blog, Cut Out + Keep and Mixed Media Arts now.
Since I've been scaling back on what I've been creating it has given me more time to do some of the things I enjoy such as making jewelry. I had taken an interest in it several years ago and made a few pieces for gifts over that time, but recently have found myself being called back to it. I now find myself excited to finish for the night so I can sit down and work on a piece or start a new one. Sometimes I'm working before I'm even done with things I should be doing!
This is a piece that I finished for myself recently. I tried my hand at several new techniques and practiced some old ones, too. This one piece has now made my interest in jewelry making explode and has taken me on a whole new adventure, but to find out what that is you will have to join me here again tomorrow to hear that story.
Thanks for stopping by and allowing me to share my work with you! I will see you tomorrow!
Happy Creating Everyone!
~Peg

Peg, your necklace is sooooo pretty! I am just venturing into the world of jewelry making and you have inspired me! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful necklace! I bet you get a lot of compliments whenever you wear it. My jewelry making stuff hasn't been touched much since I started scrapbooking. This makes me want to get it back out and make something. :)
ReplyDeleteI am not a jewelry maker as I have no patience for the intricate work of it. This is a beautiful piece Peg!!! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful necklace! The beads look like they come from a Rosary. I find I am more into card swaps and altered pieces right now, especially for a new sweet niece name Lillyanna. She is soooooo sweet. I love making things for her, the latest is an altered music box cradle made out of ceramic, it's on my fb if you would like to check it out and give me some pointers for future creations. thanks for being in this hop. Germaine
